Mr. Barry Thomas, a recent transplant to the Triangle area is a California native, having spent most of his life in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Thomas grew up in Greater Cincinnati neighborhoods and raised his family in the communities of College Hill and Amberley Village. He holds an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and Art Education from the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Thomas attended Xavier University
where he earned his Master of Education in Computer Science.
His post-graduate
administrative work was also completed at Xavier.
Mr. Thomas has been a professional
educator for more than 20 years.
In that time, he has worn many hats: classroom teacher, technology director,
professional development coordinator and for the past five years school administrator. Each position has provided a rich
experience working in education with a variety of school families.
Mr. Thomas is a devoted husband and father
of two children. He is married to
a fellow educator and Head of School.
He is the proud father of a son and daughter, sixteen and fourteen years
of age.
In Mr. Thomas' spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, outdoor activities, gardening, photography, playing guitar, tennis and cooking.
